The song I Dream a Dream by Les Miserables shows us that life is without meaning and value if we do not have a dream. Dreams represent what our believes and values are in life. They are what keep us moving forward and giving us motivation to reach out and challenge ourselves and prove that there are no limits in life. With dreams we show our willingness to move forward and challenge ourselves in different ways. It is important to follow our dreams regardless of  others criticism and way of thinking because if we let ourselves listen and be affected by what the outside thinks of us we will never be able to follow our dreams. Believing in ourselves and believing in our dreams is necessary for us in order to go after our dreams. We must not let what others think slow us down and make us crush our own dreams out of fear and rejection. Because if we do, life will be empty like a barren field and we will have anything to look up too. By being determined and having the bravery to take risks we will be able to turn our dreams into reality. This song sends out the message that dreams are what keep us going but they are as fragile and sensitive as feathers, if we do not pay enough attention to them and if we neglect what they tell our hearts, our dreams will break and disappear. Then we will be left with out a purpose or anything to inspire us to be our best. What we take away form this song is that no matter what people say or how quick they judge us, we must stay true to ourselves and conspire to follow our dreams.
